With more than 34 years of experience and over 2,000 clients served, Bismarck REALTOR® Terry Stevahn has built his career on one simple foundation — helping people achieve their real estate goals with honesty, hard work, and heart. Since 1992, Terry has guided buyers, sellers, and investors throughout the Bismarck-Mandan area with a reputation for professionalism, results, and genuine care.

A Journey Built on Service and Community

After earning his degree in accounting from the University of Mary, Terry and his wife, Melinda, opened a property management company — an experience that sparked his lifelong passion for helping people find a place to call home. What began as a business soon became a calling, and in 1992, Terry transitioned full-time into real estate. By 1997, he joined CENTURY 21 Morrison Realty, where he continues to serve clients with the same integrity and commitment he started with more than three decades ago.

Beyond his daily work, Terry has played a role in shaping the local real estate industry. In 1999, he served on the Bismarck-Mandan Board of REALTORS® committee that transitioned property listings from a printed book to the area’s first online MLS database. He returned to the local Bismarck-Mandan Board of REALTORS® in 2024 as Vice President and now serves as President-Elect. Terry is also involved at the state and national levels through with the North Dakota Association of REALTORS®, where he continues to advocate for professionalism and progress in real estate.

Expanding into Commercial Real Estate

In addition to residential real estate, Terry has developed a respected presence in the commercial sector. He’s earned the CENTURY 21 Commercial Network designation and has worked with numerous clients on shop condominiums, investment properties, and business sites. His involvement in the Runway 29 development has allowed him to merge his real estate insight with community growth and economic development.

Family, Faith, and Everyday Life

Away from real estate, family is at the center of everything Terry does. Married to Melinda since 1989, the couple shares two daughters, Haley and Amber, and now enjoys life as proud grandparents to Bryn, Grace, and Owen. Whether attending sprint car races, traveling with family, or relaxing at home by the pool, Terry values the same things he strives to help others find — comfort, connection, and a place to belong.

Meet Melinda Stevahn, Administrative Assistant

Melinda Stevahn has been part of Terry’s real estate story from the beginning, working alongside him as his assistant during the early years of his career. Today, she’s back in the office and plays a vital role in keeping the day-to-day details organized and on track.

Melinda assists with file organization, paperwork, client communication, bookkeeping, errands, and the many behind-the-scenes details that allow Terry to stay focused on serving his clients.

Meet Haley Emmel, Marketing & Technology

Haley Emmel has been part of Terry Stevahn’s real estate business since 2015 and has been a licensed REALTOR® throughout that time. Today, she works primarily behind the scenes, helping with social media, Terry’s monthly newsletter, website updates, marketing, and technology.

Born and raised in Bismarck, Haley has a strong connection to the community and enjoys helping Terry stay connected with clients both online and throughout the year. Outside of real estate, Haley is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys spending time with her husband, Blake, and their two children.
